[♥] The Face Shop - Face it Smart Capsule CC Cream Review

Product Info:
Brand - The Face Shop
Name - Face it Smart Capsule CC Cream
Capacity: 40g
Price: ₩22900 KRW

How To Use & Ingredients:

Packaging: The packaging is pretty simple, at least in my point of view. Not the cute packaging we all know from Etude House, the face shop is more on the simple side.
When you open the cap of this, jar-thingy for the first time you’ll see this:

You have to remove this warning to use it. Then you just have to push on the upper edges and the cc cream comes out of the middle:

The harder and more you push, the more will come out.

About the jar I can say: it’s bulky. Maybe it looks good like this when you place it in your make-up shelf or something but it’s nothing you can carry around in your handbag. Also when you travel it’s too bulky to take around (at least for me).

Texture / Coverage: So let’s take a quick look at the Texture and coverage because this is what matters the most. So before we start here we have my bare hand without any make-up. I apologize for all the blue veins I don’t know I had a bad day I guess normally they don’t show up THIS badly.

Now I applied a proper amount of the products on my hand:

In the close up we can see that the texture of the product is very thin and watery. I hope you guys can see it well, that this CC cream far away from being viscous. Also you can see the capsules there. They are tiny small but you can see some red and black capsules. If you take a very close look you can also see yellow capsules. These three colored capsules should blend with your skin tone automatically when you start to rub it over your skin. Let’s see how my hand looks after rubbing!

So here you see that the white cream and the capsules fully blended with my skin tone, it’s magic but we already know this kind of magic from the Etude House CC cream, right?

You can see that it made my skin tone a bit more even and brighter, it looks a bit more peachy? But (and this isn't very visible here) it offers nearly no coverage. You can still see my veine there, when I used this CC cream on my imperfections the coverage was like ZERO!

Conclusion: I don’t want to fool you guys, I was very disappointed with this kind of CC cream. The jar is bulky, that’s the first negative point. Then when you push on it to get the product out I mostly push not too much out and then when I push again I have too much. I have to wipe away the rest of the product with a tissue and throw it away. I can handle this better with a pump or something but with this way I can’t control how much product I need and how much I get out in the end. I waste 50% of the product I guess.
For the coverage and stuff: I was disappointed about this one too. It doesn’t offer any coverage. If you have perfect skin without huge imperfections, without pimples, then this is your cream. It gives your skin a natural, healthy color, it changes your rednesses and make your skin more even. Since I have lots of imperfections I can’t use this CC cream alone. When I use it, I use it as a base and apply a BB cream on top.
It doesn’t moisturize but it also doesn't dry out your skin.

Pros:
- Nice scent of flowers
- Light, watery texture
- Doesn't feel heavy on the skin
- Suitable for all skin types and all skin colors

Cons:
- Bulky Packaging
- No coverage
- Hard to get a proper amount of the product out of the jar-thingy without wasting product
- Very expensive
- You can’t see how much of the product is left in this bottle/jar/thing

[♥] Skin Food - Aloe Sun Essence SPF 27 PA++ Review

Product Info:
Brand – Skin Food
Name - Aloe Sun Essence SPF 27 PA++
Net Weight - 50ml
Price - ₩6500 KRW

Description:
A waterproof sun block essence that has a sun protection factor high enough to use safely for all four seasons. Rich in extracts of aloe and green tea, which has the powerful ability to soothe the skin. It protects your skin from irritation caused by UV rays and gives nutrition to make your skin healthy.

How To Use: Apply evenly across the face except for eye areas at the last stage of basic skin care.

Packaging: This sun screen comes in a plastic tube packaging. Design wise, I love it. I love how skin food products always use this kind of textured paper and pretty logo. I just couldn't resist. Also, I personally really like the packaging as it is really easy to squeeze the product out in the right amount. I like how it is hygienic and doesn't get dirty overtime.

This sun screen gets absorbed to the skin really fast. It is super easy to blend and does not leave any white streaks or white cast to the skin at all. It does give the skin a slight dewy finish but will be almost gone after a minute or so. It also provides moisture. My skin would feel soft after application. I think this is really suitable for dry skin or for winter time, not so sure about those with oily skin though. But I think it shouldn't be a problem as it does not give this sticky/greasy feeling.

I love how this sun screen doesn't give me that burnt sensation like how most sun screens do. Maybe because it is lighter and has moisturizing properties. Oh, it does have a subtle floral scent which I really like. But you might want to stay out if you hate having fragrances in your skincare.

[♥] ETUDE HOUSE - Kissful Lip Care Scrub Review

Product Info:
Brand - ETUDE HOUSE
Name - Kissful Lip Care Scrub
Net Weight - 10g
Price - ₩4500 KRW

Description: This Lip Scrub makes lips soft and moist with its fine grains of sugar smoothing away dead skin.

Directions: After applying and massaging gently on moist lips, wash away with lukewarm water.

Packaging: As you can tell it looks like an ordinary lip balm. The product can be easily squeezed out and the cap is secure so nothing falls out.

Texture & Scent: It’s like sticky liquid when you apply it on your lips and you can feel the little grains of sugar. I accidentally wiped some on my tongue when I used it on my lip and it tastes really sweet like sugar. It smells so peachy and nice and I just love anything peach really.

Results: It’s a really good lip scrub! It leaves my lips feeling really soft and smooth and almost all my dead skin from my lips is gone! It’s not very moisturizing as it says so I usually put my Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel on before applying my Etude Kissful Lip balm, to keep my lips hydrated and moisturized.

Pros:
- Scrubs away dead skin cells on lips!
- Smells like peaches
- Leaves the lips really smooth and soft

Cons:
- Not very moisturizing afterwards as it says but I’m okay with that

Conclusion:
Definitely recommend if someone is looking for a lip scrub.

[♥] ETUDE HOUSE - Sweet Eye Cupcake (Banana Choco Chip #1, Honey Peach #3) Review

Left - Banana Choco Chip #1
Right - Honey Peach #3
Product Info:
Brand - ETUDE HOUSE
Name - Sweet Eye Cupcake
Color - Banana Choco Chip #1, Honey Peach #3
Price - ₩7500 KRW

Description: This eye-shadow comes with 5 different colors. Each cupcake has 2 colors inside which perfectly match with each other. One is the base color and the other one is the “highlighter”. But you can also use one of these colors separately.

Packaging: A cartoon version of real cupcake. I love the cute cupcake shape and the yummy decoration on it. The packaging is made from a tin and it's kinda hard to open the cap sometimes. Especially if I'm in a rush.

Texture / Quality: It has a light reflecting properties that can make our eyes look brighter. Just look at the shimmery and glittery surface. The shadow glides easily on my skin but the glitters sometimes can fall out. I think the pigmentation is quite low too. I don't really mind because I don't like too pigmented eye-shadow.

Banana Choco Chip #1
The gold color is very light and shimmery. It has a super nice glitter and looks glamorous. The other, darker color is a dark brown. For me it is VERY dark and if you swatch it with the gold the dark brown will totally cover the gold. So mostly i only use the gold color.

Honey Peach #3
Here we have a gold mostly like the gold in the Menu 1 but it’s a bit lighter with a light pink. These colors are more for a daily use because as you can see in the pictures the colors are very light. The pink is just a slight shimmer. So I like this menu more because i’m more into light colors.

Pros:
- Cute and not cheap packaging
- Many different colors
- Cheap price
- Glamorous and glittery eye-shadow

Cons
Too much glitters on the lightest color and sometimes can fall out and look messy.

[♥] banila co. - It Radiant CC Cream SPF30 PA++ Review

Product Info:
Brand - banila co.
Name - It Radiant CC Cream SPF30 PA++
Volume - 30ml
Price - ₩25000 KRW

Description:  New generation whitening base of skin care and makeup function in one bottle!
- Eco herb water complex offer ample moisture
- Covers facial texture smoothly and finished to soft skin
- Transparent radiance capsule adjust skin tone and makes bright healthy skin

- Whitening + Sun protect functions

Packaging: First word I said when I opened it was SMALL. It is smaller than you think. Well, it only contains 30ml so I had to be extremely cheap while using this, I didn't want it to run out. It is a white tube with a pump dispenser. Nothing's special, except the red writings which brings out the tube more.

Application: The CC Cream is creamy in texture. The tube comes with a pump for dispensing the product. One pump will give you enough products for the whole face. The texture is easily spreadable and easy to blend.

Color & Coverage: This product only comes in one color, presumably because it is more of a primer and is very sheer. It is not meant to give you much coverage. Not sure how it will look on darker skin but for me I had no issue with it. Actually it is so sheer that I don’t really notice the color.

Conclusion: The product wasn’t overly shiny but it wasn’t completely matte either. It gave me a kind of glow but as it was sheer I feel like it didn’t do much to my appearance. I feel more like I just put on sunscreen. Anyway immediately after I put on the CC Cream I put on the CC Cushion over it.

Pros:
- Cool packaging
- Hygienic pump
- Nice essence milky texture
- Easy to blend
- Smells very nice
- A little goes a long way
- Awesome oil control
- Light to medium coverage (could be a con)
- Gives glowy finish but not oily
- Feels very light and natural
- Contains SPF30 PA++

Cons:
- Expensive
- So small

Verdict: ★★★★

[♥] 3CE - Lip Pigments (Electro Pink, Issue, Mink Beige) Review

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has to be said: Stylenanda's marketing campaign for the lip pigments is genius. Mix 7 colors up like paint to get all the colors in the rainbow? Don't mind if I do! We honestly wanted to buy everything but so many colors were sold out.

Product Info:
Brand - 3CE
Name - Lip Pigments
Color - Electro Pink, Issue, Mink Beige
Price - $13.21 USD

Color: Gorgeous shades, extremely pigmented. I think by now, it's been established that 3CE stuff are very true to their colors. XD I love how you can mix different colors to achieve different looks.

Texture: This is where it's not so perfect. While the colors are great, the texture is thin and very matte. Even with lip balm, it tends to accentuate flakes and chapped lips. Lip balm is crucial!

Longevity: Staying power is a little below Stylenanda standards, because when you drink water / eat, it comes off rather easily. :(

I think though that at 98HKD (540 pesos), the lip pigment is a steal. Why? I found a hack / workaround. The lip pigments shine as a lipstick / lip crayon base! If you layer any lip product similar in shade (even just one swipe), it takes this okay product to really great. It makes whatever lipstick shade more vibrant, and more long lasting.

Electro Pink: This pink is a neon, bluish shade. It's super fashionable and edgy and looks best when worn with sunnies HAHAHA! But really, it's a very stylish pink that should be worn while channeling your inner K-pop idol.

Issue: I wasn't able to take a good close up photo wearing Issue but it's my favorite out of all three, because it's the most show stopping orange shade. Not salmon or peach orange. A true rainbow orange. I really wanted to show you how it looks when worn but this was all I could find.

Mink Beige: Mink Beige is a nude shade that is tricky to wear, because when worn alone it emphasizes dryness more than any of the other lip pigments we own. If you're looking for a peachy nude lipstick of this shade, you should just get the Lip Lacquer in Bon Bon and be happy.

Overall, the lip pigments are worth trying out because the possibilities are endless. There's a reason why they're one of the less expensive 3CE products, but they're already better than most Etude House lipsticks nonetheless. They're great as a lip base and when topped off with a swipe of a similar color, become really worth it.

The thing with these pigments though is that they're difficult to apply without a lip brush, and can get messy. Also, if you mix a custom shade, it's difficult to re-apply later on in the day because you'll have to mix it again! Imagine looking like you're a painter when you're re-applying it in the restroom, hahaha XD Counterfeit versions of these lip pigments are being sold EVERYWHERE as well, so be careful and make sure you're buying these from a reputable seller, or the actual Stylenanda stores in Korea and Hong Kong.

[♥] 3CE - Lip Color / Lipstick (Pink Jam #8, Chu Chu #408) Review

Product Info:
Brand - 3CE
Name - Lip Color / Lipstick
Color - Pink Jam #8, Chu Chu #408
Price - $19.71 USD

Packaging: Stylenanda's 3CE Lip Color / Lipstick comes in a very sleek matte black packaging that doesn't feel cheap at all. The bullet is durable and the lipstick doesn't break easily even in warm weather, and the twist mechanism is fluid and feels weighty, like MAC and unlike NYX Lipsticks. The picture above is a very accurate representation of the colors. (swatches are in the photo above)

Color: Like all their lip products, the colors are very pigmented. Two swipes are enough to get to the color in the tube.

Texture: Very creamy and glides on smoothly. These lipsticks really do not feel cheap; their quality is comparable to MAC, and quite honestly, are even better. (Oh yeah I went there hahaha!) They do not smudge or move around on your lips, and don't get on your teeth. They are creamy but I wouldn't say they're moisturizing - they're just right. You'll still have to apply a lip balm to get the best application. But this isn't really a con because that's what makes them last so long! Which leads us to...

Longevity: Like I said, they have great staying power. They do not slide off and even after eating and drinking, it's still there! And even when it wipes off, it slightly tints the lips so the areas where the lipstick came off don't look out of place.

3CE Lip Color Chu Chu #408: This color is a salmon pink. It's a very pretty shade and is a great non-offensive, safe color to wear everyday.

3CE Lip Color Pink Jam #308: I am in love with this color. It's a hot magenta and it's bold, but it's easy to wear because it's a jewel toned pink and not neon. For the photo, I decided to do a more wearable, gradient lip but when worn fully it looks so chic.

[♥] ETUDE HOUSE - LOCK’N SUMMER Cushion Blusher (No. OR201 Let’s go! Coral) Review

Product Info:
Brand - ETUDE HOUSE
Name - LOCK’N SUMMER Cushion Blusher
Shade - No. OR201 Let’s go! Coral
Volume - 5g
Price - ₩9000 KRW

How To Use & Ingredients:

Packaging: And again we’re looking at the packaging first and again we see that the box is in the same style as the mascara and the eyeliner so I’ll skip talking about the box.
The blusher itself. It comes in this tiny little box with the pink and coral print on it. The cap of the blusher is just white while the bottom of the tiny box is in the color of the blusher.

You can’t see it very well on the pictures but let me tell you that this box is very very small. I was shocked when I saw it at first because really it’s even smaller than the Etude House lovely cookie blusher.

When you open the cap the first thing you see is a mini mini mini version of the well known air puff they also have for their Any Cushion or Magic Cushions.

It’s so small I can barely hold it with two fingers (and my fingers are super thin).

Underneath the air puff is another plastic cap which prevents the blusher from drying out. When you took that cap off you finally get to see the product on the sponge.

Texture: The texture is very watery and liquid. There is no difference in the texture between the Any Cushion and this blusher I guess. But I really really like that texture. It’s my first time I use a liquid blusher and I like this texture more than creamy blushers.
Also the color stays for very long. I didn’t have the feeling that it faded away during a couple of hours which is pretty good (but I have to admit that I fixed everything with finishing powder, I don’t know if it stays all day when you don’t use the powder). I mainly used powder because like I said, this blusher is liquid and it takes some time until it’s dry so I treated it like liquid foundation and it’s pretty good for me to do so.

ScentThe scent is quite strong which is also pretty new for me when it comes to a blusher. When you open all caps the smell really punches your face and if you don’t like strong scents this one is not for you.
The scent is quite fruity and fresh though. It reminds you of summer but like I said it’s very strong.

Pros:
- Natural color which is quite pigmented
- Liquid texture is easy to apply
- Travel friendly size
- Lasts very long

Cons:
- I think it’s quite pricey for 5g of product which is on a sponge which means it will dry out one day and you might just used 2-3g
- Strong smell
- Super tiny puff

Verdict★★★☆☆

[♥] CANMAKE - Creamy Touch Rouge (Misty Orange #2, Sweet Cherry #3) Review

 Product Info:
Brand - CANMAKE
Name - Creamy Touch Rouge
Color - Misty Orange #2, Sweet Cherry #3
Price - $12.77 USD

Packaging: It comes in a shiny gold lipstick tube that looks sophisticated and classy.

Description: "A new texture! Velvety semi-matte lips!!!
Creamy texture and high color that goes on just the way it looks in the pot.
A rouge that creates plump lips that feel great, just like chocolate ganache."

True to Canmake's description, this lipstick has a creamy consistency. Its glides on easily when applied and feels more like a pigmented lip balm instead of a lipstick. But because it's semi-matte, this lipstick accentuates chapped lips. It is important to exfoliate and moisturize before putting this on. I love how these don't have that waxy taste some lipsticks have.

CANMAKE Creamy Touch Rouge Sweet Cherry #3

Sweet Cherry is a soft pinkish red that can easily be worn during the day. If you want to try red lipstick for the first time but are afraid of looking too overdone, this is a comfortable starting point.

CANMAKE Creamy Touch Rouge Misty Orange #2

Misty Orange is a coral peach shade that is so easy to wear with everyday make-up. I especially like using this with coral blush for a fresh spring/ summer look.

All in all, I recommend these Canmake lipsticks! They are creamy and affordable. The colors are pretty use-able and are pigmented enough to smoothly cover your lip color without lip concealer.
